Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Custom Broker role based in Sydney, NSW. The Custom Broker will handle all documentation and compliance processes associated with customs clearance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include preparing and processing customs and shipping documentation, classifying goods, liaising with clients to provide updates, and ensuring all import and export procedures are completed efficiently. The role also involves collaborating with internal departments, freight forwarders, and government agencies to resolve any issues that may arise in the shipping and customs processes.
Qualifications
* Thorough knowledge of customs laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
* Experience in preparing, reviewing, and submitting customs documentation, as well as classifying goods
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder interactions
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills for managing potential workflow challenges
* Proficiency in relevant software, technology, and systems related to shipping and customs operations
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with attention to detail
* Previous experience in the Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Shipping sectors is highly advantageous
* Custom Broker license and relevant certifications are required
