This role sits within the Enterprise Platforms team and is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our internally developed software that underpins both existing and emerging mission-critical business systems.
This is a 12-month contract role within a multi-year program, based in our Brisbane office. We offer a flexible, hybrid work environment that blends remote work with on-site presence as needed to meet project deliverables. Please note, this role will be engaged as a contractor, on assignment at the Lottery Corporation through Hudson RPO.
What you'll do
* Design and execute manual test cases for complex transactional workflows and business rules.
* Validate end-to-end transaction processing, including data integrity, consistency, and reconciliation.
* Conduct manual regression testing to ensure stability of the core engine during frequent releases.
* Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand transaction logic and edge cases.
* Investigate and document defects, anomalies, and unexpected behaviours in transactional flows.
* Perform data-level validation using SQL or other query tools to ensure correct back-end processing.
What you'll bring
* Proven experience as a Senior Test Engineer working on mission-critical transactional systems.
* Strong SQL Server skills for validating data integrity and back-end processes.
* Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for test tracking and documentation.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing every possible use case.
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
