Kanda is seeking a dedicated Finance Business Partner to join our team in Melbourne. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to provide valuable financial guidance and drive business performance across our diverse network of companies.
About the Role
This role provides strategic financial support, analysis, and insights to business leaders, ensuring accountability for financial performance within the Business Unit. The Finance Business Partner will apply critical thinking and a commercially inquisitive mindset to challenge assumptions, influence decisions, and drive performance. You will contribute to the development of processes, driving change and building relationships with business unit leaders through the provision of value-added support to ensure strong business performance and growth.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing forward-looking financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to guide business performance
* Preparing key finance reports, including month-end deliverables and variance analysis
* Partnering with General Managers to understand business drivers, influence commercial outcomes, and support strategic planning
* Ensuring accuracy of financial information, reconciliations, and compliance obligations (GST, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, FBT, etc.)
* Monitoring cashflow and overseeing payments
* Driving continuous improvement of financial processes, tools, and reporting
* Leveraging Business Central and other systems to enhance visibility and decision-making
* Providing guidance and mentorship to Finance Officers and Contracts Officers
You'll Bring
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar industry/role
* Familiarity of Modern Awards pertaining to Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010; Aged Care Award 2010; Nurses Award; Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020
* Strong interpersonal skills, professional assertiveness, and exceptional multi-tasking abilities
* Proactive problem-solving skills with strong analytical decision-making
* Advanced Excel Skills
* Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
* Hold or willing to obtain: Working with Children Suitability Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening
* Experience with Business Central software
