We are hiring a Quality and Safeguarding Officer to support us in this mission. This role is being offered as a twelve-month contract for maternity leave cover, however, as a growing organisation, there is the possibility it will be extended to a permanent position if we find the right candidate.

Some of the duties of this role include:
* Assist in the development of Company Values and establishment of appropriate behaviours.
* Support organisation compliance with Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF) and Department of Child Safety licensing requirements through development of new or
* improved systems, policies and procedures, processes, and resources.
* Internal auditing (documentation and physical sites) of Strive services in accordance with the Quality & Compliance Policy and Procedure.
* Mentoring of Therapeutic Care Managers to encourage learning and development in line with their Position Description with a focus on staff development and best practice in residential OOHC.
* Delivery of group training to Strive staff such as Case Clinics, practice-specific tailored training, etc.
* Development of Positive Behaviour Support Plans for young persons in care as per the Positive Behaviour Support Policy.
* Support staff in achieving best professional practice in OOHC with regard to therapeutic strategies, professional writing, safety planning, stakeholder engagement, and other responsibilities associated with their roles.
* Attend Weekly Management Meetings and provide information or insight with regard to Quality & Compliance as needed.
* Support the implementation process of transition to an improved client management system ClearCare from CTARS in due course.
* Other duties as directed by the Quality & Safeguarding Manager.
The successful applicant/s will require the following Qualifications and Experience:
* Cert IV or higher in Youth Work, Social Work, Counselling, or a related field (completed qualification or currently enrolled)
* TCI Training certification - will be highly regarded
* Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
* Current NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
* LCS2 Check (must already have one or apply during interview) AND Valid Police Check (within 12 months)
* Unrestricted QLD Driver's Licence
* Current First Aid & CPR
* Experience supporting young people with complex trauma (Highly regarded)
* Skills in case planning, behaviour support, and report writing (Desirable)
* Cultural knowledge and/or lived experience that supports an inclusive and culturally responsive approach to working with young people
