**The Role**:
We are looking for Fleet Managers and Assistant Fleet Managers based in Melbourne who will be responsible to the Sustainment Manager for the delivery of Sustainment outcomes for an allocated Product Schedule and Defence and Industry at Operational and Working levels. The role requires ILS Management experience and several years expertise in either Supply Chain or Technical support with exposure to Complex Procurement.
**Tasks may include**:
- Responsible to the Sustainment Manager for the delivery of outcomes for the assigned Product Schedule (PS).
- Plans, Leads, Organises and Controls the work of allocated Inventory and Technical team.
- Monitors and Negotiates support from Transactional Teams (Purchasing).
- Maintains Integrated Logistics Support Instructions (ILSI) and Equipment Management Plans (EMP).
- Supports Sustainment Manager to prepare Support Plans, Reports and Budgets.
- Support transition from Acquisition to Sustainment, develop/review Transition Plan as required.
- Manage and update MILIS data/status.
- Fleet sustainment requirements and planning.
- Provide input into Integrated Logistics Support Instructions and materiel support plans.
- Review and provide input into maintenance strategies to ensure fleet readiness.
- Review materiel logistics performance for assigned products (e.g. SPMS, Fleet screenings).
- Provide commercial and business support for fleet specific functions.
- Provide project management function in developing/achieving acceptance of User Requirements and agreement from appropriate delegates.
- Assist in development and implement of S&Q;/Approach to Market/RFT/Tender Evaluations/Contract Negotiations and Contract Signature.
- Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders at the strategic and operational level.
**To secure this position, ideally you will possess**:
- Must be an Australian Citizen holding a Baseline Clearance (minimum), or NV1 (preferred).
- Extensive experience in Fleet Management, knowledge and skills.
- Relevant related qualification in Integrated Logistics Support Management or similar.
- Must have relevant experience in Logistics Support Instructions (ILSI) and Equipment Management Plans (EMP).
- Sound knowledge of Defence Processes.
- Previous or current exposure to Supply Chain or Technical support with exposure to Complex Procurement.
