About Magnet-Me
Magnet-Me is an events-based photography company that specialises in creating Instant Photo Magnets at various events. Our business is seeking photographers who are interested in shooting Weddings, Engagements, Birthdays, Corporate Functions and University Events - just to name a few. We capture moments throughout the event and transform them into personalised photo magnets on the spot, so guests can take home a fun, lasting keepsake.
About the role
We are searching for passionate, dedicated and reliable photographers who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you should be experienced in shooting events and be able to capture close-to-perfect photos, as editing of these photos is minimal.
We are after a photographer who wants a new and exciting challenge This being, transforming the photos taken into photo magnets. You will be working hands-on to create these photo magnets and whilst the process is quite simple, a little bit of technique is needed to grasp the concept of magnet making.
You'll
* Photograph guests and key moments throughout the event
* Create instant photo magnets using our simple system (full training provided)
* Interact with guests in a friendly, professional way while representing the Magnet-Me brand.
The role suits someone who:
* Loves shooting events and working with people
* Enjoys a fast-paced environment
* Wants something a bit different to "normal" photography work
Skills and Experience
* 2+ years' experience in events, weddings, parties and corporate photography
* Confident using flash and shooting in low-light venues
* Dedicated, punctual and responsible
* Own professional camera gear (body, lenses, flash)
* Valid driver's licence and reliable car
* Comfortable with basic computer/software use – quick to learn new programs
* Able to troubleshoot and solve small technical issues on the go
* Able to work independently and also as part of a small team
* Physically able to do some heavy lifting (Magnet-Me kit to the car)
* Positive attitude, good energy and a genuine smile - you'll be the face of Magnet-Me at events
* ABN and the ability to invoice as a contractor
Hours & location
This opportunity is suitable for someone who is able to work mostly on weekends and weeknights, with occasional weekday events
Events are Victoria-wide, with most jobs around metro Melbourne and the surrounding areas.
