Dental Assistant - Hornsby at HCF Australia

HCF is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at the Hornsby Dental Centre, with additional opportunities at our Chatswood location. Permanent Part‑time (32 hours per week) role over 4 days a week with a preference for one of the days to be Wednesday.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical assistance to the dentist and ensure a comfortable environment for patients and team members
* Comply with HCF Dental Quality Management System, policies, and procedures
* Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment
* Support the Practice Manager and Dentist in Charge by fostering teamwork and smooth centre operations
Key Focus Areas
* Patient Flow: Monitor day sheets, coordinate patient appointments, and assist with emergency patients
* Chair Side Assisting: Prepare instruments and materials, assist during clinical procedures, and develop radiographs
* Surgery Organisation: Uphold infection control, manage surgery changeovers, and maintain stock and equipment
* Sterile Supply: Clean and sterilise instruments, validate sterilisation cycles, and maintain stock levels
* Work Health & Safety: Comply with WHS standards, report hazards, and participate in safety training
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Demonstrated dental knowledge and experience
* Neat appearance and commitment to personal hygiene
* Ability to maintain confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
* Demonstrated initiative and common sense
* Basic computer literacy
Desirable
* Reception experience or willingness to cross‑train
* Qualifications in radiography, sterilising, and/or first aid
* Certificate III in Dental Assisting
