Job Opportunity:
The Night Shift Electrician role is available due to a new long-term contract.
You will work on rail rolling stock maintenance and upgrades, including accident repairs, full strip-down and overhaul, painting, field services and provisioning, and emergency recovery.
* Mechanical work, including disconnection, removal, and reconnection of rail components
* Testing and commissioning of completed projects
* Installation of new parts
* Trade certificate or skills to trade level required
* Rail industry background highly regarded but not essential
* Experience in heavy equipment preferred but not essential
* Current Victorian Driver's Licence required
* Current Forklift Licence and experience as an operator required
* Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one required
* Able to work a rotating night shift roster, including weekday and weekend shifts
* 'Safety first' attitude desirable
* Strong desire to learn desirable
* Well-developed communication skills desirable
* Strong team player contributing to a positive team environment desirable
* Effective planner and organiser desirable
* Ability to work efficiently and autonomously desirable
