Salary range: $91,138 per annum + 13.5% superannuation.
About The Role
The Community Engagement Officer supports meaningful engagement between the City of Hobart and its communities. You will help deliver consistent, high-quality engagement across diverse projects, ensuring community voices are heard and valued.
Role Accountabilities Include
* Represent the City at events and engagement activities
* Advise project teams on planning and delivering effective engagement.
* Promote inclusive participation through diverse engagement methods
* Collaborate with Communications to raise awareness of engagement initiatives
* Develop clear, engaging content for plans, reports and Your Say Hobart
* Analyse engagement data and produce reports for the Council
* Support the Senior Advisor in advancing best practice engagement.

* A diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Community Development, or Social Sciences, supported by relevant experience in community engagement
* Proven ability to plan and deliver contemporary engagement methodologies across diverse projects
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing detailed reports and engaging a wide range of stakeholders
* A sound understanding of cultural diversity and inclusion principles, with a commitment to equitable and respectful engagement.
* A current Drivers Licence and registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
