- Full time ongoing role, SCHADS Level 3 $34.04 - $36.50 per hour
About You
With effective listening skills and an adaptable communication style, you will enjoy working with a range of people and in a role where no two days are the same. You are comfortable working autonomously and, in a team, and are capable of resolving conflict and dealing with practical issues to support others. To achieve this, you will possess:
- Demonstrated flexibility, patience, initiative and emotional resilience
- Knowledge of crisis intervention approaches and experience working from a consumer-centred approach
- Capability to advocate for others and build support networks
- Prior experience in mental health support or working with those who are disadvantaged in the community
- A Cert IV in Mental Health or AOD or other relevant qualification (or be actively studying)
It is a requirement of this position to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and meet all compliance requirements in relation to NDIS Work Screening, Working With Children's Check, work rights and possess a current & valid driver's license.
About the Role
You will be a Key Support Worker support people in a Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC). You will contribute to the maintenance of a collaborative and harmonious environment, maximising client-wellbeing through laying the foundation for self-management, relapse prevention and rehabilitation. To achieve this, the role entails:
- Provision of assessment and recovery focused support matched to individual and group need, incorporating the development, articulation and regular review of Individual Recovery Plans and Group Programs
- Enhancing and promoting links with natural supports in the community
- Providing accurate and timely case notes so that colleagues and stakeholders can provide a consistent experience for clients
- Liaising with clinical staff and other key stakeholders, ensuring all protocols are adhered to
