We are seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join our State Government Client and play a pivotal role in supporting the operational and financial performance of a high-value asset portfolio.
About the Role:
As a Senior Management Accountant, you will:
* Lead and coordinate financial planning, budget cycles, and forecasting.
* Provide expert financial advice and analysis to senior stakeholders.
* Drive continuous improvement strategies to enhance cost recovery and revenue generation.
* Mentor and uplift financial literacy across the branch.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, government policies, and WH&S legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver accurate and timely financial services and reports.
* Develop and implement financial frameworks and monitoring processes.
* Conduct high-level research and analysis on complex financial issues.
* Support business case development and strategic planning.
* Partner with managers to improve financial decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
* Proven experience in financial management within a complex organisation.
* Strong analytical, communication, and mentoring skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications and financial systems (e.g., SAMIS, Basware, Oracle).
