Cunnamulla P-12 State School is seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaner to join our operations team. The successful applicant will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic learning environment for students, staff and visitors. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment across school facilities through daily cleaning, waste removal and general upkeep of buildings and amenities.

Founded in 1877 alongside the beautiful Warrego River, Cunnamulla P-12 State School is a rural and remote Prep to Year 12 campus located on the land of the Kunja people in the Darling Downs South West region, 9 hours drive from Brisbane.

About The Role
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
Perform general cleaning duties including surfaces, windows, furniture, toilets, sick bays, and floor maintenance (sweeping, vacuuming, polishing, and graffiti removal).Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas by managing rubbish disposal, litter control, and cleaning paved surfaces, drains, and gutters.Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, and carry out specialised tasks such as cobweb and mildew removal.Ensure school security by locking/unlocking buildings and activating or disarming security systems.Liaise with school leadership regarding supplies and report maintenance, safety, or security issues, while directing visitors to appropriate staff.

Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules.Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleaning standards.Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to perform manual tasks associated with cleaning duties.
