The Prospect
The Fitter is responsible for completing all fitting works on time, in full, and to standard, with a focus on continuous improvement. The role also involves maintaining safety standards and a clean, organized work environment.
What’s involved
- Performing fitting and general tasks as directed, following supplied Work Pack / Job Tickets.
- Inspecting, testing, and servicing onboard mechanical systems.
- Measuring, analyzing, and recording critical data during refurbishment works.
- Completing tasks within specified time frames; notifying supervisors if delays occur.
You’ll need
- Trade Qualification: Fitter & Turner, Machinist, Diesel Fitter (Heavy), or Mechanical Fitter.
- Marine experience.
- Experience in marine refit/repair or heavy industry.
- Ability to perform high-risk work such as confined space and working at heights.
- Capability to perform work safely and effectively.
- Proficiency with standard tools and equipment related to the trade.
- White Card, First Aid, and EWP certifications.
- Experience in Heavy Industrial, Marine, or Ship repair sectors.
