**Make a Meaningful Weekly Visit with a Great Storyteller Near Torquay**
**The Role**
In your volunteer role you will be paired with an aging senior to provide them regular social support visits in their home. Activities during your visit are based on yours and your client’s interests and could include conversation, playing board games, listening to music or sharing stories. Get to know someone new and make a difference in your local community!
**Our Client**
Our client is a friendly and engaging gentleman in his 90s who has lived in the Torquay area for over 20 years and now resides in a retirement village in Marshall. Growing up in South Melbourne, he’s a passionate Swans supporter and enjoys chatting about all things footy. A former plasterer, he also loves sharing stories from his working life and his two years of National Service at age 18.
He’s well known in the village for being a great talker with a sharp long‑term memory and a terrific sense of humour. While a sore hip has temporarily slowed him down and interrupted his beloved bowls games, he remains socially engaged and values good conversation. He uses a four‑wheel walker and would enjoy relaxed, weekly morning visits (10am–12pm, not Tuesdays).
A male volunteer preferred, of any age, who enjoys a laugh and a good yarn. If you like footy banter, storytelling, and making someone’s day brighter, this could be a perfect match.
