Overview
Vestas has an exciting position at Wambo wind farm for a full-time, long-term Electrical Service Technician.
Immediate start for the right candidate.
Location:Wambo Wind Farm
Salary:$52.50 per hour + Allowance + Superannuation + Bonus
Schedule:Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work
Responsibilities
Undertake scheduled service and reactive maintenance as required
Respond to site needs outside normal working hours on a rostered basis
Maintain all company vehicles, plant and equipment in good, clean condition
Conduct operations and maintenance within training and authorization, including operation of HV and LV
Ensure safety of personnel, environmental protection, and adherence to work methods at all times
Complete site induction
Fulfill the requirements of the SMA (Service Maintenance Agreement)
Comply with OH&S legislation and commit to accident prevention
Follow work instructions, safety codes of practice, and environmental requirements
Wear appropriate PPE and participate in safety meetings as required
Perform any other duties within competence and experience as directed
Qualifications
A-Grade Electrical license
Full driver's license
Competencies
Proficient with PC and modern technologies to support daily work
Ability to read/interpret technical drawings for fault-finding and maintenance
Knowledge of PLC and/or SCADA systems (advantageous)
Motivation to learn and grow in a dynamic industry
Strong safety orientation and compliance
Experience with HV/LV, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
Proficiency with hand tools
Good communication and ability to work in a small team
Ability to work at heights in confined environments
