Job Description
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a highly skilled practitioner to provide support and supervision to children and young people in family-based care arrangements. The successful candidate will work closely with foster carers, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure the highest level of care and support for these vulnerable individuals.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake child-focused casework practice (case planning and assessment) in partnership with relevant government agencies, children, and their families.
* Provide ongoing support and supervision to Foster Carers in relation to their caring for children and young people in their homes.
* Ensure necessary risk assessments, cultural support plans, safety plans, and behavioural support plans are developed and implemented.
Requirements
* A recognised degree qualification in Social Work or Psychology or a related field.
* Significant experience in the child protection and out of home care sector.
* Demonstrated experience working with individuals, families, and communities from a strength-based, culturally appropriate perspective.
