About the role
The Counter Sales & Warehouse Operator role is a Full‐time position, based at Preston, VIC. Reporting to the Store Manager you will join our Gyprock Trade Centre delivering exceptional customer service and attaining operational excellence within the store / warehouse.
In this role you will
* Adopt a safety‐first culture
* Provide exceptional customer service for all our customers in store and in the warehouse.
* Handle stock movements and the maintenance of stock.
* Serve customers in the warehouse part of the store, e.g. loading customers' vehicles with a forklift, or manually as required.
* Ensure documentation, labelling and product presentation / placement is adhered to.
* Perform warehouse operations including picking orders, inventory counts and general housekeeping.
* Contribute to achievement of store revenue and margin budgets.
* Attend to customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
Your hours will be the following: Monday to Friday 6:00am - 3:00pm.
What you bring to the role
* Forklift licence desired or willing to obtain one.
* Current valid drivers licence essential.
* SAP experience preferred but not essential.
* Possess a strong work ethic.
* Be able to approach, connect and confidently interact with customers.
* Eagerness to learn about products and services.
* Excellent customer service & communication skills.
* Confident and well‐presented when dealing with customers.
* Experienced in contributing to a productive and engaging work environment.
* Collaboration with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets and deadlines.
