Legal Administrator Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Legal Administrator to support our lawyers. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting legal documents, conducting research, and filing documents with courts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drafting legal documents such as affidavits, correspondence, and court forms.
* Conducting legal research on case law and relevant statutes.
* Filing legal documents with courts and regulatory bodies.
* Liaising with clients via phone and email, providing updates and gathering necessary information.
* Preparing for client meetings, conducting interviews, and taking detailed notes.
* Preparing court documents in preparation for hearings or trials.
* Assisting with trial preparation and attending court in a supportive role where necessary.
* Managing competing priorities and ensuring all deadlines are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to work independently and within a team.
* Some experience in a similar legal administrative role is advantageous.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* A proactive and detail-oriented approach to legal work.
* Ability to maintain client confidentiality and work with discretion.
