Chef Team Leader Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team at Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre.
Located in one of the world's most beautiful settings, Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre offers visitors a chance to experience the stunning natural beauty and rich culture of the Kuku Yalanji people.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare high-quality meals daily for guests.
* Lead, train, and mentor a team of cooks and chefs.
* Collaborate with the Operations Manager on kitchen coordination, including stock control, rotation, ordering, and inventory management.
* Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
* Update recipes and menus, incorporating Indigenous ingredients where possible.
Requirements
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or completed Cooking Apprenticeship.
* At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory role within a café or restaurant.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
* Good communication skills in English and ability to work under pressure.
