The Role
As a Content & Audience Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting TasTAFE's transition to a new Student Management System (SMS). Working within the Change & Adoption stream of the SMS Renewal Project, you will design and deliver clear, audience‐focused communication strategies that help staff and learners understand upcoming changes and confidently adopt new systems and processes. Based at our Campbell Street Campus in Hobart, you will collaborate closely with change management, project, and operational teams to ensure messaging is timely, consistent, and aligned with project milestones and organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver internal communication plans aligned with SMS project milestones.
* Create clear and engaging content including emails, newsletters, presentations and project updates.
* Translate complex system and process information into accessible and audience‐focused messaging.
* Engage with stakeholders to capture feedback, manage concerns and support effective communication.
* Manage internal communication channels and optimise them to increase engagement and reach.
* Work closely with change and capability teams to reinforce readiness and training activities.
What you bring
* Minimum three years' experience in marketing, communications or internal communications roles.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
* Experience delivering communication strategies within large change or transformation projects.
* Strong relationship‐building skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Experience using digital communication platforms such as intranets, collaboration tools and email systems.
Desirable
* Relevant tertiary qualification
* Experience in vocational education and training environments
This is a full‐time maternity leave cover position until 29 January 2027, based at our Campbell Street Campus in Hobart.
A current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
