Location: Kalgoorlie, WA, AU, 6430
Your new role as a workshop Boilermaker will report to the Workshop Supervisor in a permanent full time residential position based in Kalgoorlie.
The Boilermaker is responsible for carrying out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs to Caterpillar fleets, completion of service reports, identifying parts requirements whilst maintaining safe work practices and a safe work environment.
This WesTrac branch is located in Kalgoorlie WA and is an authorised Caterpillar dealership where you can find a wide range of Cat products, parts, services and technologies. Our Kalgoorlie team provide Cat machinery solutions to suit any earthmoving business, including both new and used equipment sales, heavy equipment rental, as well as parts, servicing, and merchandise.
Location: Kalgoorlie – must be residential or willing to relocate with own housing
Roster: 8 days on, 6 off – 10.5 hrs each day (inc. of 30 minutes meal break)
What You'll Do:
* Fabricate and repair structural steel and equipment components in line with customers and Westrac's specification.
* Read and interpret schematics and specifications accurately, source technical information through reference manuals, technical bulletins and internal based systems.
* Manage and advise appropriate tooling fit for service.
* Maintain and set clean and safe working environment.
* Be a dynamic team player with a high commitment to working safety.
* Liaise with various site/local clients on their requirements in an effective manner
Skills & Experience:
* Australian recognised Boilermaker or Fabrication Trade Certificate (essential)
* Heavy-Rigid Licence (essential)
* Proficiency in MIG, TIG and Arc welding techniques
* Experience working on large mining machinery or heavy fabrication.
