About the Role:
The Brand Manager will lead projects and brand activations, helping to achieve portfolio growth. The pickled vegetable segment is a key brand portfolio with full exposure to the marketing mix, SunRice has over 40% of the Australian retail market share.
Outlined below are the requirements across four key dimensions:
* Strategic – The role will contribute to the development of annual plans across ANZ. The main focus will be in project managing the current portfolio and the innovation funnel.
* Complexity – The role has a reasonable degree of complexity given the portfolio operates across ANZ regions, across channels (Retail and FS), and across brands (Always Fresh & Fehlbergs). It will require strong commercial acumen to support product development (innovation and product improvements) across our international supplier base.
* Business Impact (Scale) – The portfolio accounts for tens of millions NSV, and contributes significant GM.
* Span of Control (Autonomy) – This role reports directly into the Marketing Manager. The role requires strong project management skills, tenacity and strong influencing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects and brand activations, developing and implementing marketing strategies to achieve business objectives. Key responsibilities include:
* Project managing the current portfolio and the innovation funnel.
* Supporting product development (innovation and product improvements) across our international supplier base.
* Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
* Maintaining accurate records and reporting on project progress.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years performing similar duties to those outlined above, we may also consider someone who is currently in an Assistant Brand Manager role looking to take the step up.
* Experience within FMCG and/or food marketing is essential.
* Tertiary qualification, ideally within marketing and/or commerce.
* Commercial mindset: understanding of the commercial P&L and A&P budget management.
* Strong project management skills.
* Key personality traits and characteristics should include, resilience, tenacity, numbers driven, continuous improvement mindset, energetic, and personable.
