Windridge Farms is a family-owned farm specializing in pastures and pig breeding near Young, NSW. We are looking for Section Leaders (Farrowing House In Charge and Grower in Charge) to oversee a specific section of the Piggery. Whether you specialize in the Dry Sow Section, Farrowing House, or Weaner/Grower/Finisher Section, experience in a 2000-sow Farrow-to-Finish operation is necessary. Role Description:
The Section Leader is responsible for leading their team to achieve the highest possible standards of pig production in the most efficient manner possible. As the Section Leader you will utilise your proven skills in planning, organising, directing and coaching to achieve continuous production improvement. Promote, educate & lead by example in relation to bio security requirements, animal health & welfare requirements. Always work in a safe manner & demonstrate safety leadership to ensure the safety of others on the farm & participate in quality assurance initiatives.
Successful applicants will have:
· Previous experience overseeing a section of a piggery.
· Excellent focus on details.
· Be proactive and driven.
· Able to follow procedures effectively.
· Able to work effectively in a team environment.
· Able to work towards high animal welfare standards.
· Physically fit - requires labouring and physically demanding tasks.
· Have at least a Certificate III in Pig Production plus 18 months-3 years of relevant experience, alternatively at least 5 years' relevant experience.

Salary Range:
The salary range depends on experience, between $70,000 and $80,000 per year.
