Overview
SMA Australia has a full-time opportunity for a Field Service Technician in our Large-Scale Utilities team. The position is remote i.e., a mix of working in a field service environment and working from home. Must be available for regular travel to remote regions including interstate with occasional international travel required also. This would suit someone based in Melbourne or Brisbane.
Responsibilities
* Commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and analysis of SMA inverters via email, telephone, and site visits.
* Maintaining and exhibiting very high safety standards in the workplace and on-site.
* Offering a high level of quality work resulting in excellent customer satisfaction, whilst striving to lower the costs of service.
* Maintaining a detailed knowledge of SMA's accessories, and third-party accessories.
* Maintaining a working knowledge of the National Electric Code.
* Completing documentation and reporting for service cases.
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to deliver services within project deadlines.

About You
* You will hold a relevant electrical trade Licence – essential
* An Australian Drivers Licence – essential
* At least 5 years of experience in electrical, electronic and/or network communications are required
* Broad experience in a customer service role for power generation products (experience in the solar industry is a plus)
* CEC accreditation – desirable
* Experience with SiteDocs is an advantage
* Communications experience with Modbus, SCADA, or other communication protocols.
* Ability to work remotely and independently.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
* Commitment in complying with Safety, Health & Environmental policies and procedures including proper lifting techniques.
* Very good relationship management, problem solving and conflict management skills.
* Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.
