"Rome wasn't built in a day," they say—well, our protective eyewear business sure wasn't either. From humble beginnings, we began shipping protective eyewear from our bedroom. With support from our amazing community of customers, SafeSyle quickly outgrew our original worksite. Well, that and Dad wanted us out of the house. Fast-forward a few years, and we're growing rapidly and need to put out a call for help.
Our mission has been, and always will be, simple: to provide fashion-forward protective eyewear that anyone can wear from the worksite to the weekend.
With our roots firmly planted in home soil, we collaborate with some of the biggest names in Australia and seek to set a footprint globally. We aspire to give back to the community and put the environment at the forefront of everything we do.

You're a Finance Support Superstar
In this hands-on supporting role, you'll join the core finance squad—backing our Senior Bookkeeper and Accounts Receivable Specialist. You'll handle daily AP/AR, reconciliations and support for month/quarter end processes. As we go global (serious multi‑country action incoming), you'll help streamline financials across the board, grow our systems, and be part of the team keeping things efficient and error‑free.

What You'll Be Doing
* AP & AR Processing – Code supplier invoices, manage approvals, and chase overdue accounts.
* Bank, Card and Account Reconciliation – Keep bank feeds clean, identify mismatches, and work with teams to resolve issues.
* Cloud Accounting & Data Entry – Use Xero (soon to be Netsuite) to post daily transactions, track statement updates and keep ledgers tidy.
* Support Month‑End Activities
* Accounts Admin – Manage a busy accounts inbox, review credit apps, handle ad-hoc admin work.
* Process Improvement & Collaboration - Contribute to the development of processes, tools, as our business scales.
* Cross‑Department Liaison – ensure cross-team collaboration keeps everything flowing smoothly..
Skills That Pay the Billz
We don't expect perfection, but these will help you nail it:
* Cert IV Bookkeeping/Accounting or comparable experience
* 2+ years in a bookkeeping / finance support role (AP/AR, reconciliations, month‑end exposure (ideally with some global currency experience)
* A communicator - internally, with suppliers and customers. You're happy to jump on the phone and sort issues out.
* Strong skills in Xero (soon Netsuite) plus solid Excel skills
* Initiative-first mindset—you step up for ad-hoc needs or special projects without waiting to be told.
* Serious eye for detail—nothing slips through on your watch
* Comfortable working in ambiguity and shifting priorities as the company evolves
* Trust and Discretion – you handle sensitive financial information with care, professionalism, and absolute confidentiality
