Offer description

PM-Partners group is a specialist Project Management Consultancy. We have a unique way of running projects and providing training and advice, so our clients get the best results with less cost and risk. Each year we deliver over $3B of projects, train over 10,000 people, and help some of Australia's leading brands improve their PMOs.

We are seeking two experienced Desktop Engineers to provide onsite technical support throughout a major Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrade program. These roles will ensure a smooth transition for end-users by delivering hands-on technical support, troubleshooting upgrade-related issues, and guiding staff through key changes introduced in Windows 11.

Working within a collaborative environment, you will support device upgrades delivered via Microsoft Windows Autopatch, operate across both SCCM and Intune environments, and manage incidents through ServiceNow. This is a high priority role requiring strong technical capability, excellent communication skills, and a user focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

User & Device Support

* Provide onsite technical support to users during the Windows 11 upgrade program.
* Conduct pre-upgrade readiness checks and ensure post-upgrade validation.
* Assist users with Windows 11 familiarisation, answering usability questions and supporting change adoption.
* Deliver one-on-one and group floorwalking support during deployment periods.

Technical Troubleshooting

* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to compatibility, performance, application behaviour, and user profiles.
* Support devices upgraded via Windows Autopatch, including troubleshooting update failures and compliance issues.
* Assist with upgrade paths where SCCM is used in combination with Intune and Autopatch.
* Validate device health and ensure core business applications are functioning as expected post upgrade.

Operational Support

* Log, track, and manage incidents and service requests using ServiceNow.
* Escalate issues related to Autopatch policies, device compliance, and deployment processes.
* Provide feedback for improving upgrade processes and future deployment activities.
* Participate in post deployment reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

* Work closely with IT teams, project managers, and business stakeholders.
* Deliver clear, nontechnical explanations to users to build confidence and minimise disruption.

Required Skills & Experience

* Demonstrated experience as a Desktop Engineer or similar technical support role.
* Strong working knowledge of:
o Windows 10 & Windows 11 operating systems
o Microsoft Autopatch
o Intune & SCCM
o ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
* Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
* Ability to provide user-friendly explanations of technical concepts.
* Experience in fast paced project or transformation environments desirable.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across multiple teams.

If this opportunity aligns with your experience, we encourage you to apply via Seek.
