**About the opportunity**
This is an exciting business-building role with overall responsibility for the strategic direction, growth and execution of our Australia Pulse and Containerised Grains business.
Previous experience in leadership roles within commodity trading & export environments, strategic thinking and strong commercial acumen as well as deep knowledge of the pulse and grains landscape and key market drivers will be essential to deliver on the following key accountabilities:
- create the strategic direction and articulate the 5 year road map for the business
- lead the trading, supply chain & operations teams
- create annual budgets & deliver results per budget / monthly business review process
- as overall trading manager, adhere to risk limits for positions, counterparty credit & forex
- nurture key internal & external stakeholder, industry & community relationships
- actively participate in the Australia Leadership Team to create impact and achieve high-performance across the larger organisation
**About you**
Relevant post-grad qualifications are advantageous but what's really important is your industry knowledge, growth mindset and entrepreneurial and risk-taking abilities. You will also have proven experience building and leading high-performing and engaged teams and ideally have taken independent responsibility for a business in an agricultural and commodity trading context.
