Role
Genus Infrastructure is seeking an experienced High Voltage (HV) Testing Technician to work on our major projects across Australia including country region.
Must be flexible with traveling to different projects in WA
Responsibilities
* Commissioning, testing and maintaining HV Protections systems/schemes.
* Commissioning, testing and maintaining HV Substations secondary systems and primary plant.
* Provide technical support to technicians.
* Ability to read and use commissioning/testing documentation and protection test plans.
* Ability to interpret and understand drawings, diagrams, schedules, and manuals.
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* 3 years' experience in a similar position.
* 1 to 2 years' experience in utilities and/or construction and/or resources industry.
* Valid Western Australia 'A' Grade Electrical Workers Licence.
* HV switching Ticket
* Qualifications in a suitable Electrical Trade.
* Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
* Valid Driver's License – "C" Class.
* Valid CPR/LVR Certificate.
* Current National Police Clearance.
* OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card.
* Ability to read manuals to install, maintain and repair equipment.
* Good vision and hand-eye coordination.
* Accuracy, with strong attention to detail.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to work to required deadlines.
* Good judgement and decision making.
* High level communication including active listening skills.
* To be able to work independently and in a team environment.
* Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.
* Basic Computer skills.
* Ability to travel to other depots or worksites to complete project work as required.
* Valid Provide First Aid Certificate.
* Valid High-Risk Work Licences – WP, Elevated Working Platform (EWP), Working Safely at Heights.
