We are partnering with a well-established and growing organisation on the Gold Coast to appoint a Financial Controller looking for their next step in their career or an experienced hire needing a new challenge.
This is a senior, hands‑on role offering broad responsibility across financial control, reporting, compliance, and commercial support. The position will suit a technically strong finance leader who enjoys being close to the business and supporting decision‑making at an executive level or a finance manager or client manager requiring that challenge.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end finance function, including:
* Full financial control and statutory reporting
* Monthly management reporting and board packs
* Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
* Oversight of audit, tax, and compliance obligations
* Leadership and development of the finance team
* Partnering with senior stakeholders to support commercial decisions
* Strategic and operational input
* Continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, and processes
About You
You will be a proven finance professional with:
* CA / CPA qualification (or equivalent)
* Demonstrated experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or from a Public Practice background
* Strong technical accounting and reporting capability
* Experience working closely with senior leadership
* A proactive, commercial mindset
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience within SME, mid‑market, or growing organisations will be highly regarded
