About the Role
The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking a Surveillance Images Officer to join the Transperth Train Operations team. This is a FTE job-share position, working Thursday and Friday in Week 1, and Monday to Wednesday in Week 2.
Reporting to the Central Monitoring Room Coordinator, you will provide efficient and secure management of CCTV digital imagery for Transperth Train Operations. Key responsibilities include:
* Retrieving and managing CCTV footage from trains and stations, ensuring integrity for court evidence.
* Maintaining accurate records of all CCTV transfers to Police and other authorised parties.
* Preparing CCTV footage for court and providing evidence when required.
* Liaising with Police, legal representatives, and other stakeholders during viewing sessions.
* Updating inventory records daily to ensure audit compliance.
* Preparing statistical reports as required and maintaining organised storage for prompt retrieval.
* Monitoring stock levels of recording media and related equipment.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A basic understanding of evidence protection and a strong commitment to confidentiality.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
* Solid administrative skills with attention to detail and experience in data entry.
* Willingness to learn and use video surveillance software and other relevant systems.
* A current Western Australian 'C' or 'C-A' Class Driver's Licence (or equivalent), which must be maintained throughout employment and shown upon request.

There is currently one fixed‐term opportunity available until 6 November 2026 with the possibility of renewal and/or permanency. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies on a fixed‐term or permanent basis that may arise within the next 12 months.
