Research Scientist - Oncology Drug Development
We are seeking an exceptional Research Associate or Scientist to join our team and perform in-house preclinical research in support of the clinical development of a small molecule anticancer agent.
In this full-time laboratory role, you will be responsible for conducting lab-based research in oncology drug development, working closely with our experienced team to evaluate the pharmacology/toxicology of new drugs.
Key responsibilities will include designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with international academic research institutions and commercial research organisations (CROs).
Requirements:
* A minimum Honours degree or equivalent in cell and molecular biology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics or similar.
* One or more years of experience working in a PC1/2 laboratory.
* Experience in mammalian cell culture and basic biochemical assays.
* Proven track record of high quality written and verbal communication.
* Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records.
* Attention to detail while working concurrently across multiple projects and meeting tight timelines.
* Keen interest in oncology drug development and commercialization.
Desirable qualifications include:
* Experience in the design, planning and execution of experiments aimed at evaluating the pharmacology/toxicology of drug substances.
* Experience in molecular and cell biology techniques such as flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, western blotting, qPCR, etc.
* Excellent understanding and interest in oncology at the molecular, cellular, animal and human level.
* Interest in the regulatory aspects of modern drug development.
