About the Role
As a Customer Service Operator – Forklift Driver you will report to the Trade Store Manager and will be responsible for distribution activities through the daily operations of the Thornton trade store.
Responsibilities
* Unloading plasterboard as an offsider
* Dealing with customers face‐to‐face and over the phone
* Picking and packing orders on a daily basis
* Regularly checking and making up orders
* Receiving goods and checking off paperwork while maintaining due diligence
* Loading and unloading customer vehicles
* Maintaining operational equipment and reporting any faults or damage to management
* Recording and reporting any customer complaints to the Trade Store Manager via Knauf's complaint and customer procedures
* Assisting with stock take/inventory counts to ensure accurate inventory records are maintained
* Performing general warehouse duties and housekeeping
Qualifications & Experience
* Prior experience within the distribution and logistics industry (highly desirable)
* Experience using Microsoft Office (advantageous)
* Ability to work full time at the Thornton site (Mon‐Fri, 6am‐3pm)
Essential Requirements
* Full and unrestricted Australian working rights – no visa sponsorship offered
* Valid police check
* Valid forklift licence (essential); truck driver licence highly regarded
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
* Successful completion of pre‐employment medical
Working Hours & Location
Must work full time at the Thornton site, Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm.
