Rear Loader Driver
Join Sutherland Shire Council as a Rear Loader Driver, delivering essential waste and recycling services across the Shire. This full‐time position runs Monday to Friday, with a 9‐day fortnight schedule and early starts from 4:00am.
Responsibilities
Operate rear loader waste vehicles safely and efficiently, complete pre‐start checks, assist with collection activities, and carry out basic vehicle care and maintenance. Work physically active with manual handling and outdoor tasks to contribute to the cleanliness and liveability of the local area.
Qualifications
* A current HR Class driver licence (essential)
* Experience in waste services or similar driving/operations role
* Physical fitness to manage manual handling and outdoor work
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Basic data entry and mobile device skills
* Knowledge of National Heavy Vehicle Law
* Familiarity with Sutherland Shire streets and suburbs (advantageous)
Salary & Benefits
Package: $77,926 gross per annum plus 12% superannuation.
Hours of work: Permanent full‐time 38 hours per week, 9‐day fortnight.
