**The Division**
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan (ROM) division engages with our customers and communities. We connect regional NSW with safe and tailored transport choices and contribute to strong economic growth and sustainability across the state.
**The opportunity**
We currently have **3 x Permanent Full Time Community Technical Partner** positions available within our ROM, Community and Place Branch.
Whilst the three roles will work closely together and overlap, we are looking for specialist skillsets for each role. The three positions are as follows:
- Community Technical Partner - Bridge and Structural Engineering
- Community Technical Partner - Hydrology, Drainage, Coastal Infrastructure
- Community Technical Partner -, Broad Multi-Modal Transport Infrastructure
The primary purpose of the Technical Solutions Partner is to advocate for client and community solutions to transport infrastructure programs, projects and issues across all modes. Reporting to the Senior Manager Transport Technical Solutions, you will assist with the identification and development of projects and technical solutions to improve transport connectivity and access.
The role will act as the client’s local representative to review and endorse project solutions and scope ensuring that the outcomes are in the best interest of the customer and community, enhancing end to end transport connected services as well as being appropriate and within funding and other constraints. The position engages closely with local Councils and the community to provide advice which enables consistent decision making state-wide.

**About you**
With a passion for problem solving, you will have the skills to advise and engage with internal and external stakeholders on technical transport related issues. Experience across multiple transport sector modes such road, rail, maritime and active transport is highly desirable, but not essential.
The requirements for each speciality are as follows:
**Bridge and Structural Engineerin**g - Qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering and extensive relevant experience in bridge engineering related specialist technical background, is essential.
**Hydrology, Drainage, Coastal Infrastructure** - Experience in, and qualifications to support the provision of specialist advice relating to design reviews and monitoring of infrastructure design reporting, hydrology, flood investigations and modelling, urban and rural drainage design, and coastal management plan development processes Qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar technical background is also essential.
**Multi-Modal Transport Infrastructure**:
- Qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar technical background with broad experience across the infrastructure lifecycle of identifying transport needs, project development, delivery, asset operations and maintenance and asset disposal/reuse across transport modes.
**Location**
The roles will work on a variety of projects in the South Region of NSW - this encompasses an area from Wollongong to the Victorian border, out to Wagga and the Murray River region. We have offices at a number of locations in the area and encourage people regionally based in New South Wales to apply.
**Salary and Perks**
The salary for these positions is Transport Grade 9, $142,178 - $159,238 per annum plus super, flex leave and other benefits.
