As we continue to grow and support our customers with high-quality engineered solutions, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Kwinana operations and drive safety, service excellence, and financial performance.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, this senior leadership position is responsible for the strategic planning and operational management of our Kwinana manufacturing operations. The role is instrumental in delivering strong safety outcomes, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and sustainable profitability while leading and developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement actions and initiatives that will positively impact the operations safety, financial and operational performance
* Contribute towards continuous improvement of all processes and systems by initiating, implementing and measuring improvements in performance within the operation
* Reduce the number of reworks by ensuring work quality assurance is completed
* Improve performance and outcomes of team members by actively leading, and making development opportunities available through training, coaching and on the job experience
* Actively participate in project / major work tenders as required
* Ensure all personnel are aware of the Company's operating procedures, systems and policies and operate
About You
* Commercially astute operations leader with knowledge in conveyor systems and mining services
* Territory diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
* Extensive experience in service and manufacturing operations within mining or conveyor-related industrial industries
* Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, Australian Standards, QA systems, and design codes
* Effective people leader with advanced project management and stakeholder engagement skills, underpinned by strong financial and commercial acumen in budgeting, cost control, and forecasting
* Experience working within a large corporate or international environment, along with exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies, will be highly regarded
