Mahal Green Olive Indian Restaurant, an esteemed Indian restaurant nestled in the heart of Shepparton, is on the lookout for an experienced and qualified Full-time Chefs to join our kitchen team. Specializing in authentic North Indian cuisine, we take pride in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our patrons.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, primarily from North India, with a focus on Curry and Tandoori specialties.
Utilize expertise in North Indian Cuisine to create flavorful and visually appealing dishes.
Develop exciting menus featuring sharing dishes, main courses, specials, and desserts.
Work efficiently under pressure to meet service demands while maintaining high-quality standards.
Demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised and take charge of kitchen operations.
Ensure smooth operation of during peak hours.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience working with North Indian Cuisine, with expertise in Curry and Tandoori cooking techniques or similar establishment.
Trade/Diploma level qualification in cookery.
Proven ability to create innovative menus and dishes that excite and delight customers.
Capacity to handle the demands of a high-pressure kitchen environment.
Ability to work unsupervised and lead kitchen staff effectively.
Willingness to take responsibility for supervising other staff, if required.
Experience with ordering and managing stock, as well as possessing food safety qualifications, would be advantageous.
