CASA is a not-for-profit housing and homelessness support provider in the Mackay region. Grants and sponsorships help us give more back to the community—expanding services, deepening support, and scaling what works.
The Prospect
Lead stakeholder engagement, deliver community events, secure funding (grants and corporate sponsorships), and own CASA’s day-to-day communications—socials, website, and marketing materials (flyers, brochures, AGM reports, and more). Strong Canva skills are essential.
What You’ll Do
Stakeholder & Events
- Plan and deliver targeted community events and activations.
- Build relationships across community, corporate and government networks; represent CASA at meetings and forums.
Grants, Sponsorship & Reporting
- Identify, qualify and track grant and corporate sponsorship opportunities.
- Develop sponsor packages and proposals that align corporate goals with CASA’s mission; pitch and negotiate agreements.
- Manage sponsor stewardship: deliverables, recognition (logos, signage, social tags), benefits, and impact/ROI reporting.
- Manage grant agreements, milestones, acquittals and impact reporting; maintain a tidy pipeline/CRM.
Media, Marketing & Content
- Own the content calendar and publish across Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn.
- Create clear, on-brand content: posts, newsletters, case studies, announcements.
- Maintain and update the CASA website in Wix—news posts, pages, and basic site edits.
- Design and produce marketing materials in Canva (flyers, posters, brochures, factsheets); maintain brand kit and templates.
- Lead production of the AGM report and other flagship publications.
- Track engagement and optimise using basic analytics (e.g., Meta/Google).
Organisation & Compliance
- Champion brand consistency and tone of voice.
- Contribute to policy/procedure improvements and safe work practices.
What You’ll Bring
Creative mindset with a strong eye for design and storytelling.
Demonstrated events coordination experience.
Proven success preparing grant submissions and managing reporting.
Track record sourcing and developing corporate sponsorships/partnerships (packaging, pitching, negotiating, stewarding).
Canva proficiency (brand kits, templates, print/digital layout, export for print).
Wix website editing experience (or similar CMS with quick upskilling).
Excellent writing, editing and stakeholder communication skills.
Ability to work independently and take direction—a self-starter who executes, iterates, and seeks clarity when needed.
Solid Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn new systems.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
Mandatory
- Blue Card (QLD) – Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, business or related field.
- Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign/Illustrator) or basic video skills a plus.
- Experience in community services, housing or not-for-profit environments.
- Familiarity with basic CRM or pipeline tracking for sponsors/grants.
