We have a position available for a full time Carpenter in our team.
About the role
The duties of the role will include the following:
* Studying and interpreting drawings and specifications to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation methods.
* Design, produce, and repair wood and timber products.
* Build our products using hand tools and power tools.
* Use automated machinery and CNC equipment.
* Basic operation experience with CNC machinery is required.
* Cut, shape, and join timber parts to form cabinets, furniture, frames and fittings according to plans.
* Assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings, ensuring alignment and accuracy.
* Create custom‑designed products and fittings for specific spaces.
* Complete all stages of production.
* Carry out minor carpentry works required for installation (framing, trimming, levelling, fixing).
* Ensure high-quality fit and finish, addressing adjustments or on‑site modifications as needed.
* Repair wooden articles, cabinets, and other products when necessary.
* Cut wood joints and work with laminates, compact laminate, mirrostone when required.
* Study and follow technical drawings and job specifications.
* Maintain workplace cleanliness and organisation.
* Follow all safety and maintenance procedures for equipment and tools.
* Maintain product knowledge and follow service and maintenance procedures.
* Provide installation preparation and support when required.
The salary offer will be in the range of $75,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience.
Skills/Qualifications required
* At least a Certificate III in Carpentry preferred.
* Certificate III in Carpentry is mandatory for this position.
* At least two years of relevant work experience.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good communication with supervisors, clients and trades.
* Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
* Mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Reliability and strong work ethic.
