Your next career opportunity As a Research Fellow in Chemical Engineering at the University of Melbourne, you will spearhead innovative projects to recover proteins, lactose and minerals from whey, converting them into value-added products for the agri-food sector. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the dairy industry and engage with the Dairy Innovation Hub, gaining valuable experience in techno-economic analysis and translating research outcomes into industrial applications. Your responsibilities will include: Conduct Innovative Research: Develop novel membrane-based separation technologies, analyse experimental data, and prepare publications for peer-reviewed journals. Collaborate and Communicate: Engage with industry partners, present research findings to stakeholders, and foster collaborative partnerships. Mentor and Lead: Supervise honours and postgraduate students and foster a productive research environment. You may be a great fit if: You will have a PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline, with expertise in membrane technology or dairy processing, and possess excellent communication skills to engage with industry collaborators and academic colleagues. You may also: Have direct experience in membrane technology or dairy processing. Possess a track record of publication in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Demonstrate the ability to tackle complex problems and develop novel solutions. Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills. Be experienced in supervising students or other researchers.
