QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.About the roleAs a temporary Senior Superintendent until 7/3/25,you will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing exceptional contract supervisory services.Key responsibilities: Delivering a range of specialised property projects for major clientsProviding high level contract supervisory services with respect to traditional and non-traditional contract systems from tender acceptance to final certification on medium to major projects. Ensuring contract administration policies and procedures applicable to all contracts are implemented and operating effectivelyUndertaking contract supervisory services within the assigned region, with respect to and in accordance with contractual provisionsProviding direction and management to a team of Superintendent's Representatives and contract management support staff to enhance their skills and maximise their performance and effectivenessActing as a point of reference on matters of build ability and on-site construction management for Superintendent's and Superintendent's Representatives within the business unitEnsuring Superintendent's Representatives, both internal and external to the business unit, act in accordance with QBuild procedures and systems in respect to contract administration and contractual provisionsEnsuring that post contract performance evaluation systems and procedures are undertaken in a timely mannerCommunicating to all project team members and clients concerning all potential cost and time issues which are contract specificProviding financial advice, including cost proposals to external and internal stakeholders ensuring that the commercial viability of the SEQ Contract Management teamProactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staffPlease note this role will require the occupant to regular travel to other locations within Queensland which may include overnight stays up to 4 nights.
