Building Consultant - Insurance Claims Specialist
The ideal candidate will have sound technical experience in building consultancy, with a strong understanding of commercial and domestic building practices. You will be able to interpret technical building matters, evaluate compliance, and identify liabilities related to the project.
Key responsibilities include conducting unbiased investigations for various types of clients, preparing written reports documenting causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation, as well as maintaining professional and technical knowledge through education, publications, networking, and professional societies.
* Conduct inspections of properties and buildings to identify defects and evaluate compliance
* Prepare detailed building reports for defective or incomplete work, make-good reports, stage inspection reports, dilapidation reports, condition reports, and other required reports
* Provide expert witness testimony in the courts, as required
