Qualifications & Experience
* Seeking an experienced Chef in a busy kitchen environment. Must have a calm temperament and work well in a team.
* Certificate IV Commercial Cookery & Diploma of Hospitality Management desired.
* Quality of good time management and the ability to work well under pressure.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Plan menus and food preparation issues with the head chef.
* Assist with ordering food, kitchen supplies and equipment.
* Prepare and store food stuffs, ensuring stock rotation and control is maintained.
* Prepare meals, ensuring presentation, portion control and quality is of the highest standard.
* Liaise with Head Chef or Managers on functions or special requirements.
* Maintain kitchen equipment and individual tools of the trade.
* Constantly update knowledge and skills to keep abreast of industry trends.
* Train and supervise apprentices, trainees and other kitchen staff.
* Assist or compile kitchen rosters and staffing reviews.
* Relieve and perform other duties as directed by Supervisor or Management.

Summary of Role Requirements
* At least 1 year Chef experience in a busy kitchen required.
* Working rights required for this role.
* Expected salary: $76,515 - $77,000 per year.
