Administrative Officers – Paediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes, Monash Children's Hospital.

About the Role:

Join our Administration team within the Paediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes (DPED) department at Monash Children's Hospital (MCH) on a part time), permanent basis.

3 roles are available:

* HS2 0.4 EFT (30 hours per fortnight)
* HS1 0.54 EFT (41 hours per fortnight) including admin coverfor our Young Adult Diabetes clinic
* HS1 4 hours per fortnight to provide admin coverfor our Young Adult Diabetes clinic

We have Victoria's largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and provide leading paediatric services in many areas including Rehabilitation & Oncology.

About the Department of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes

The Department of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes provides a range of services and clinics for children up to 18 years of age, managing one third of children newly diagnosed with diabetes in Victoria every year, providing more than 3.9 million episodes of care to our community. The department also manages a full range of endocrine (hormonal) conditions in children including thyroid, growth and puberty.

Job Summary

The Department of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (DPED) administration officer is responsible for effective and efficient reception and administrative support to the DPED team. They will assist with the coordination and maintenance of office practices. They will undertake duties that contribute to the process of maintaining the DPED information management systems, recording and dissemination of information and general administration processes.

The HS1 roles include providing administrative support to the Young Adult Diabetes which runs twice per month on a Monday evening

About You:

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

Essential Qualifications

* Demonstrated computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft office programs
* Demonstrated experience with databases including iPM
* Familiarity with medical terminology

Desirable Qualifications

* Previous experience in a health care setting
* Previous experience with databases HMS/Harrison, SMR and EMR
* Certificate in Medical Administration
