About the role
We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at Ricks Artisan Pies and Sourdough in Noosaville, QLD. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a energetic and creative environment, producing high-quality artisanal baked goods.
Responsibilities
- Crafting a variety of sweet and savoury pastries, cakes and tarts using traditional methods and premium ingredients
- Ensuring consistent quality and presentation of all baked goods
- Collaborating with the head chef to develop new and innovative pastry items
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
- Mentoring and training junior team members
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
- Working early morning shifts as required for pastry preparation
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-quality restaurant, cafe or bakery setting
- Strong technical skills in traditional pastry techniques
- Creativity and an eye for detail to produce visually appealing baked goods
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- A team player with the ability to work well under pressure
- Passion for using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients
- Strong working knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Must have Australian work rights
- Trade qualification in pastry or culinary arts required
