Role Overview
We're looking for a skilled Motor Assessor to join our Victorian Assessing Team. In this role you'll assess vehicle damage, determine best‐practice repair methods, manage claims costs, and coordinate repairs to restore vehicles efficiently.
Primary Details
Employment: 12month fixed‐term contract, full‐time (remote‐based with flexibility). Vehicle: Provided fully maintained Tool of Trade vehicle (current driver's licence required).
Key Responsibilities
* Assess vehicle damage and determine best‐practice repair methods and settlement outcomes in line with industry standards, legislation, MVIRI and manufacturer guidelines.
* Proactively manage and mitigate claims costs through informed decision‐making.
* Engage with repairers, suppliers and customers via face‐to‐face, phone and digital channels.
* Source and negotiate suitable replacement parts and repair solutions where required.
* Deliver high‐quality customer service that meets or exceeds claims service standards.
* Support the delivery of Claims strategy and contribute to broader business outcomes.
Qualifications
Strong assessing capability with a sound understanding of repair methods and settlement approaches, advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills, experience quoting and assessing accident‐damaged vehicles, proven customer service expertise, excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
