FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - IMMEDIATE START
At WPE we do more than just move freight; We help our customers do their business more effectively and efficiently. WPE is looking for a detail orientated Financial Controller to work closely with the CEO and the wider finance team to drive the finance function. Role will be located in Huntingwood NSW.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the end-to-end financial reporting process, including month and year close.
* Prepare and present monthly management reports to CEO.
* Manage and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolving issues promptly.
* Drive & improve the cashflow of the business through invoicing oversight, debtor and creditor management and forecasting.
* Work closely with the wider business to support commercial decision making.
* Oversee the finance team across all functions of finance.
* Manage tax compliance with assistance from external advisors.
* Continuous improvement of systems and processes to help with the growing scale of the business.
* Processing of BAS, IAS, superannuation and statutory reporting.
* Payroll for weekly staff of 80-100 using Employment Hero.
* Management and processing of weekly creditor payments.
* Oversight of owned properties including rent and outgoing reviews.
* Understanding of Company Structures and Trusts an advantage.
About You:
* 5+ Years experience working in finance leadership roles.
* CA/CPA Qualified.
* Proven people leadership experience to oversee and mentor the team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Xero.
* Payroll experience necessary. Employment Hero experience is a bonus.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Ability to work both independently and part of a team.
* A proactive and solutions-focused approach to challenges.
* Ability to learn our in-house Transport Management system.
* A strong communicator to work with a range of both internal and external stakeholders.
