Job Description: As a seasoned Epic Technology Strategist, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing innovative solutions that drive business growth. This role requires expertise in developing technology strategies that align with the organization's goals.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in solution architecture within the payments and banking domains. They should possess a deep understanding of ISO 8583, ISO 20022, AS2805, EMV, and SWIFT messaging protocols.
A strong stakeholder engagement and communication skillset is essential for this role. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to elicit requirements and guide platform evolution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and maintain target state architecture and roadmaps for Connex and related platforms.
* Lead solution design across card scheme operations, tokenisation, 3D Secure, and digital wallets.
* Provide technical leadership for digital transformation initiatives using cloud-native technologies (Azure/AWS).
* Evaluate and integrate vendor solutions, ensuring compliance with scheme certifications and security standards.
* Architect solutions using event-driven architecture, microservices, and containerisation.
* Ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and security are met.
* Mentor junior architects and contribute to architectural governance.
Requirements:
* 10+ years of experience in solution architecture within payments and banking domains.
* Proven expertise with Connex or similar switching platforms.
* Deep understanding of ISO 8583, ISO 20022, AS2805, EMV, and SWIFT messaging protocols.
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), Web Services, and MQ.
* Familiarity with Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, and eCommerce gateways (e.g., Cybersource, MPGS).
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Experience across both issuing and acquiring landscapes.
