What will your role be?
Step into an exciting opportunity with Diageo's newly formed Premix Commercial Excellence Team. As a pivotal part of this dynamic group this role is perfect for a Senior National Account Manager eager to enhance strategic capabilities and drive impactful change. As a Commercial Strategy Lead, you'll collaborate across teams to champion our Commercial Strategy, Category Leadership, and Customer Marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Excellence, your role will be to craft innovative commercial strategies that deliver exceptional outcomes for Diageo brands in‑store.
Responsibilities
- Business Transformation: Work alongside the Innovation Managers to build commercial plans & approach on innovation to ensure new launches land with impact internally, with our customers & in‑store.
- Category Partnership: Collaborate with Category Leadership to incorporate category strategy into Trade Strategy development, ensuring end‑to‑end planning prioritises category growth.
- Commercial & Business Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive Commercial Strategy, including development of Trade & Investment Strategy and lead RGM work‑streams to prioritise channels and customers while guiding commercial investments for effective strategy implementation.
- Customer Marketing: Lead the commercialisation and implementation of customer marketing programs based on customer strategy and category opportunities, driving Executional Excellence through 365 Essentials Sales Fundamentals.
- Customer Data & Insights: Use data analytics tools to extract actionable insights for informed decision‑making in commercial strategies.
What will you bring to the table?
- Minimum of 5 years in FMCG, with commercial experience in account management, category, and strategy.
- Proven track record of driving growth through collaborative Insight to Action initiatives with both customers and internal partners.
- Proficient in using Scan/Panel Data tools such as IRI, Nielsen, Quantium, and Coles Synergy.
- Demonstrated success in achieving results with a "triple win" approach while working closely with customers or suppliers.
- Robust business partnering skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and deliver successful plans.
- Flexible leadership style with proven influence capabilities; adept at navigating ambiguity and complexity in rapid‑paced environments.
