About the Opportunity
Reporting to our Engineering and Technical Services Lead, we are searching for a Mechanical Technician at our Swanbank Power Station. You will play a key role in ensuring plant reliability and performance.
You will carry out preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance, support fault investigations, and contribute to projects that improve efficiency and safety. This role is based on site and works a 4 day Monday to Thursday 36.25 hour roster.
Key Responsibilities:
* Mechanical Maintenance & Fault Diagnosis – Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, fault investigations, and plant repairs to ensure reliable operations.
* Plant Improvement & Project Support – Design, scope, and implement mechanical improvements and modifications to enhance plant performance and reliability.
* Performance Monitoring & Analysis – Monitor equipment efficiency, analyse performance data, and contribute to strategies that improve availability and cost-effectiveness.
* Technical Support & Mentoring – Provide specialist advice and mentoring to team members; interpret technical documents and ensure system documentation is current.
* Safety, Compliance & Contractor Management – Follow Safe Work System, participate in risk assessments, and oversee contractors to ensure work is performed safely and to standard.
About You
We are looking for someone who holds a Mechanical Trade Certificate and Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering. You should have a strong understanding of Safe Work Systems, isolations, and plant access procedures.
You will also need hands-on experience with fault finding, plant investigations, and reliability improvements. Familiarity with maintenance planning tools is a plus.
