At Bannister Downs Dairy Farm, we are committed to excellence in animal care, milk quality, and innovation. We're seeking an experienced Senior Dairy Farm Hand to join our passionate team and play a key role in delivering our dairy operations.
About the Role
As a Senior Dairy Farm Hand, you'll be hands-on across all aspects of dairy operations – from milk harvesting and herd health to youngstock care and feeding. You'll also step into a leadership role, mentoring team members, ensuring high standards are met, and contributing to continuous improvement across the farm.
What You'll Do
* Lead safe, efficient and high-quality milking operations
* Oversee animal health and husbandry, including calving and treatments
* Operate and maintain farm machinery for daily feeding and operations
* Mentor and guide less experienced team members
* Contribute to a positive, solutions-focused team culture
What We're Looking For
* Proven dairy farming experience with strong animal husbandry knowledge
* Ability to lead and mentor others in day-to-day operations
* A strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to high standards
* Attention to detail, with a proactive and flexible approach
* C Class Driver's License (manual required)
Desirable qualifications include Cert III Agriculture, ChemCert, HR License, or First Aid – but above all, we value the right experience and attitude.
